Our Company

 

While our agency was not established until 1957, there has been a Browning at this location since the 1930’s. Lindsay Browning had his grocery store here, which also included a lunch counter.

 

In 1957, Lindsay’s son, C. Robert Browning, was approached by an Erie Representative about entering the insurance field. After much consideration, C. Robert decided to enter the field on a part-time basis. For many years, Mr. Browning operated both the grocery store and insurance office from this location.

 

Over a decade later, in 1973, Mr. Browning closed the grocery store in order to concentrate on the insurance business full time. In 1984, his son, Bob Browning, joined his dad and purchased the business shortly thereafter when his dad retired.

 

Dave Reagle joined Bob as a partner in 2003 – and two years later, ownership was passed to Dave and Kevin Murphy.

 

Along the way, Browning Reagle has earned numerous awards and accolades, including the most prestigious award given by the Erie Insurance Group – given to just one agency each year – the F.W. Hirt Quality Agent Award in 2012

 

 

Interests
Kevin, the head of our Sales & Marketing team, joined Browning Reagle Insurance Agency as a Partner in 2005, and has accumulated over 28 years of insurance experience. Prior to joining Browning Reagle, Kevin served as a Risk Management Consultant and a District Sales Manager during his tenure of almost 14 years with Erie Insurance Group. Holding both an A.A. & B.A. in Communications from University of Maryland, College Park, Kevin has also earned his designations as an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). Kevin is an active member of the Howard County Police Foundation, complimenting the agency’s sponsorship of the department’s Collision Avoidance Training (CAT) program. My name is Sherill Stitz and I love planning fun!

I have had a passion for travel all my life. I've spent the last 20+ years planning vacations for not only myself but friends and family too! Italy Vacation

My personal travel experiences include several eastern and western Caribbean cruises/land vacations, traveling the west coast of California as well as vacationing on several Hawaiian Islands. Last summer I spent 13 days visiting 10 different cities in northern Italy via an escorted motor coach tour . This summer I experienced other European destinations which included Spain, France, Monaco, the Amalfi Coast, Sicily and Greece via club cruising.
